Introduction:
Every month Link Hands Uganda works hard to see that it reaches out to needy people in Jinja district and the surrounding villages. It does this through several programs that include relief food during hard times, education sponsorships, food packages to needy people during Christian holidays like easter and Christmas, small business start-ups, shoes & clothes donations, health carte to Nalufenya hospital, and other social related problems. And this is done basing on Christian principles or virtues of love, hope, and faith.
With this kind of help which may look subtle or trivial, it brings transformative changes that empower the community to thrive and grow hence leading to development of the country.
Link Hands Uganda contributes to Uganda’s development by it day to day activities aimed at lifting the poor and destitute. Activities:
The following below are the activities performed in the month of April.
1. Easter packages:
Our Lord Jesus Christ commands us to Love God our God, and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. We extended acts of mercy and love to the needy people by sharing an easter package that consists of Food items. Twenty families received food items which include rice, beans, chicken, soap, and salt. Each family received 10kgs of rice, 10kgs of beans, one chicken, 2 bars of soap, and 2 sachets of salt. The families were very happy and thanked the Lord for the divine providence. This brought a smile on their faces and restored hope in the Lord.
The children at a local organization received a cake and the children celebrated this easter well. This reminds them that there is a brother and sister who loves and prays for them, and they don’t get forgotten. A child at the orphanage said, “This is love! I see love and I feel loved.”

2. Nalufenya Children’s Hospital:
Monthly, we donate food items that are used to help in making solvents for the malnourished children at Nalufenya hospital. Like distributed include soap which helps in keeping, cartons of milk, rice, seed oil, and rice. The hospital management is very happy for this consistent kind of help that has saved lives. Glory be to God!!

3. Postal Office:
Every year we renew the subscription of the postal address we use. This is mandated by the government of Uganda to see that customers renew their annual subscription to postal office services. We cleared it and now we have no issues with the government. We thank Mr. Anders for sending parcels to us through our postal address and for using PostNord which doesn’t require me to pay money before I collect the parcel; I collect them freely.
4. Mark Ntambi & Meshack Nabikamba:
These two brothers got into a boda boda accident as they were going to the market. They got several injuries on their bodies. Mark is 11 years old while Meshack is 7 years old. They were rushed to a nearby hospital in Buwenge town where they received medication. A medical doctor reached out to Reverend Benard requesting whether we can help them, and he responded with a strong yes to save the little ones. Now, these two kids are in better shape after receiving medication. their mother said to Link Hands team, “You are good Samaritans! You saved my children’s lives. God bless you.”
