Introduction:
In Uganda, December is a month of family, Christmas celebrations, and many festivals across the country. The children are on holiday and hoping to get back to school in the first week of February in 2026. For the entire month, all educational institutions are on holiday. This means that many children are more likely to be trafficked, child labor increases, early marriages are caused by many factors, increased crime rate, and promiscuity.
This month, Link Hands focuses on spreading love and joy to needy families by reaching out to each family with a Christmas package that includes food. We also engage in counseling the sponsored children and pointing them to Christ for help. With daily engagement in day-to-day activities, the Link Hands Uganda vision and mission are realized.
Activities for the Month
The following are the activities performed this month.
1. Nalufenya Malnutrition Ward:
Link Hands Uganda is committed to supporting Nalufenya malnutrition ward with food supplies that are used to make solvents for malnourished children. Not only that but also, we also supply them with soap and utensils to keep good hygiene. Every year, we supply the Nalufenya children’s hospital with some handy tools like thermometers to help them manage the health of children. This month wasn’t different from others, as we supplied them with food supplies that are used in making nutritious solvents for babies. The hospital management is very grateful for the kind of help we give them. We glorify the Lord for enabling us to save lives. 2. Clothes for Brenda’s business:
The two boxes that had been lost initially finally arrived, and they were given to Brenda to sell and get some money to support her family. Brenda has consistently proven to be promising and has been growing her business. This gives us joy to see a woman we found hopeless, but who has now turned her life to make it more meaningful and is a believer in Jesus Christ.

3. Christmas package:
The Christmas season is a time for family and to celebrate with our loved ones and friends. Link Hands Uganda gives out a package of food to needy families that are on our social program list. Link Hands and its partners understand that Africa is a social village that is they reach out to needy people with items like rice, chicken, salt, and soap. When we delivered items to Malijani, she made an ululation of gratefulness as she said, “Thank you for always remembering my family and me. I pray for you that the Lord may bless you all.”
Noah insisted that he needed money for the cake so he could top up what he had, and he planned a Christmas party for the kids. We gave him the money, and he used it to make a Christmas meal for the kids, along with some other savings, as he claimed. Regardless, the kids are happy, full of joy, and in good spirits.

4. Shoes for school:
During this festive season, the prices of shoes increased, so we decided to buy them in early January. We underestimated the prices of shoes, but we hope that by January, the prices will decrease and fit our budget. We shall keep you posted about this. Thank you for your genuine and generous support. Accountability of the month.
The table below shows the accountability for December.

· The funds for shoes are not included because they will be purchased in January, as the prices go down.
Conclusion:
It has been a great year of working together and serving the Lord. Without the Lord, we couldn’t be where we are or achieve what we have now. We reflect and see that the Lord’s spirit is amidst this ministry. Sponsoring children with education, Bible distributions, small businesses, Nalufenya children’s hospital, relief aid, and social programs to help needy people is highly appreciated. Many lives have been transformed, many have given their lives to Christ, and restored joy, hope, and peace in people’s lives.
As we move forward, we meet new challenges that sometimes discourage us, but we push forward knowing that we are serving the Lord. Every day we learn from our mistakes, seek the Lord, and we reform and grow together. Thank you, Mr. Anders and Mama Ingela, for your support every year. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:4
