A monthly report for the month of February 2026

Introduction

The education of an African child is so important because it empowers, equips, and prepares a child for the future. The needy children in Uganda hardly complete secondary school, and they remain in the cycle of poverty. According to the Ugandan Ministry of Education, only 8.2% of children from the poorest 20% of households are even enrolled in secondary school. Only 21% of all students who begin secondary school in Uganda complete it. This creates a recurring cycle of poverty and the same social issues, like child labor, high illiteracy levels, early marriages, and insecurity, among others. The government initiated a program of free education in primary and secondary schools, but still, these kinds of schools have a low standard of education, which is why private schools are highly preferred.

Link Hands Uganda, through its sponsorship program, has successfully sponsored the education of needy children in primary, secondary, and university levels with the goal that they become self-reliant in the future. We believe this is the only way we can truly support their future.

Activities of the Month.

Below are the activities performed in the month of February.

1.     School fees, school bags:

Your heart is changing the trajectory of 13 young lives in Uganda today. Because of you, five children are discovering their potential in primary school, while eight more are reaching the critical milestone of secondary school. For these students, your sponsorship isn't just a tuition payment; it is a lifeline.

Take Kiige Mourice, now in his final year of secondary school (S.6). When his father abandoned the family, Mourice feared his future would vanish. But you stepped in. He says, “This program has carried me since Senior One,” Maurice shares with a smile, “God created a way for me to be in school. My dream is to become a doctor so I can heal my community and help other children who feel forgotten, just like I did.”

Then there is Tendo Victoria, who just stepped onto a secondary school campus for the first time. “I thought my dreams were shattered,” she told us, her eyes wide with wonder. “Wow! I can’t imagine that I am actually here.” Because of your sacrifice, Victoria no longer has to imagine. She is living her dream.

You are the reason these children are being shaped, uplifted, and given a future they once thought was impossible.

2.     Office rent:

Because of your faithful support, Mr. Anders and Mama Ingela, Link Hands Uganda has a dedicated home base in Jinja. Your commitment to covering the office rent does much more than satisfy a government requirement; it provides a stable foundation for our entire team.

Twice a week, this space becomes a hub of prayer and purpose where our staff gathers to study the Bible and strategically plan our outreach. Your generosity ensures we have the quiet, professional environment needed to evaluate our progress and move forward every day. We are deeply grateful for the way you sustain our daily operations

3.     Nalufenya Malnutrition Ward.

The Nalufenya Malnutrition Ward is grateful for the consistent support given to this unit. By supporting food items used in making solvents and sanitation and hygiene materials like soap, make a difference. Since USAID cut off its funding, this particular unit has been suffering due to reduced funding, but Link Hands Uganda commits itself to supporting this unit and restoring the malnourished children. We don’t only give out items, but also holistic and pastoral programs that restore hope, love, and faith in Christ Jesus. This month, too, Link Hands Uganda reached out to Nalufenya and continued its generous support.

Dr. Toko, speaking on behalf of the entire unit, expressed his deep gratitude for this consistent support. He sees every day what we know to be true: that you are changing lives, one step at a time, by following in the footsteps of Jesus. Thank you for choosing not to let these children be forgotten.

Accountability of the month.

Conclusion:

In Africa, we often say that it takes a village to raise a child, but it takes a heart like yours to sustain a mission. Today, Maurice is dreaming of becoming a doctor, and Victoria is marvelling at the opportunity of secondary school. These dreams are your legacy. We thank God for your sacrifice. As we look to the future, we see a community being transformed; one educated child and one healed infant at a time. You are more than a donor; you are the foundation of this work. We are honored to walk this path with you and look forward to the many more lives we will touch together in the year ahead. Thank you for making the impossible possible for the people of Jinja. We are excited to keep you updated on every step of this journey you’ve made happen.

“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16
