A monthly report for the month of June 2026

Uganda is currently experiencing significant political, economic, and social changes. The government continues to impose heavy taxes on its citizens to fund national development. The anti-corruption unit has actively arrested many corrupt officials, with some being convicted in court. Politically, the military appears to have taken control, with limited functioning of other government branches. In addition to these issues, natural disasters such as droughts and diseases have severely impacted the country. The population faces economic hardships and natural calamities.

Link Hands Uganda, a community-based organization (CBO), has consistently supported needy communities in Jinja. Its efforts have greatly contributed to national development by promoting healthcare, education, self-reliance through small business support, and the proclamation of the Word of God.

Activities of the Month

Below are the activities performed in June.

1) Brenda:

She received the parcel Mr. Anders sent her. This is a way to support her business selling secondhand clothes and shoes in the local market in Jinja. Brenda is growing her business and transforming her children's lives, as she is now able to pay school fees and meet other basic family needs.

2) Term two school fees & scholastics:

The Sponsorship program is one of our most cherished programs at Link Hands Uganda because needy children are allowed to study so that in the future they become self – reliant. Mr. Anders supported these children with school fees for term two, and in addition to that, he also supported them with scholastic materials like books, mathematical sets, pens, and pencils, among others. We are happy seeing these wonderful kids grow, study, and have a great smile on their faces.

3) Otesa Anthony and Philip Mwagale.

Anthony and Philip are young men who proclaim the name of God. They were involved in a motorcycle accident as they were coming from a mission. They were brutally injured on their heads, and their legs also got bruises. They reached out to Rev. Benard Mwesigwa, who rushed and took them to the hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Philip said, “The devil wanted to take our lives, but God still has good intentions for us. forever I will praise Him.” We are thankful that they didn’t lose their lives, and God is healing them.

 4) Nalufenya.

This month, we were able to carry out our monthly outreach by delivering items they use in making solvents for babies. As we delivered, we had an impromptu meeting with Dr. Kizito, and we resolved that starting next month, we shall conduct monitoring and evaluation of the patients who get discharged. We want to follow up and see how they are doing, then we will report back.

Accountability for the Month.

  Conclusion.

We are grateful that every day we make small steps by restoring hope, smiles, joy, and faith into the hearts of the children we serve and the needy people in the community. Without your help, this could not have been possible. We also thank the Lord who has enabled us to support the needy people in Jinja, Uganda. Many have become Christians through this kind of work we do. To God be the Glory!!
