A monthly report for the month of Mars 2026

Introduction:

In Uganda, most people live below the poverty line, earning less than $1 per day. This widespread poverty affects all regions, but the Eastern, Bukedi, and Karamoja areas are the poorest, where many cannot afford basic needs like soap, education, nutritious food, clothing, and healthcare. In cities and towns, efforts to restore order and improve housing have often left communities disorganized and unplanned, leading some to resort to illegal activities such as drug trafficking, prostitution, theft, and corruption, which contribute to high crime rates. In rural areas, children’s aspirations are frequently dashed due to limited access to quality education. Residents in these areas face challenges like inadequate water, sanitation, healthcare, and education, largely because government resources are unevenly distributed.

Activities of the month. 1.     Annual renewal of postal address.

All organizations must have a physical address and a functional postal address in Uganda before they can be registered by the Ugandan government. Link Hands renewed its postal address permit this month to comply with the government standards. This postal address is very helpful because it serves as our other physical address, and we receive clothing parcels through it. The joy of shoes and clothes brings a smile to the children’s faces.

2.     Parcels to Brenda:

Nankwanga Brenda has turned out to be the most successful woman on our social program list. Ever since we found Brenda in a dire state without capital, school fees for her children, and support for her family, Brenda has turned the lemons into lemonade and worked hard to beat all the difficulties in her life. She deals in second-hand clothes, which has enabled her business to grow and support her family. Brenda is now pursuing a degree at Kampala University, Jinja branch. We delivered two parcels to her that contained clothes she can sell in the nearest market or at her shop. We are so excited to see Brenda’s life changing daily.

3.     Nalufenya:

Link Hands Uganda continues to support the malnutrition Ward of Nalufenya children’s hospital in Jinja City. This kind of support is highly appreciated by both parents of the children and the staff. This has saved lives and impacted the well-being of the malnutrition ward.

4.     Easter package:

It is a culture for Link Hands Uganda to celebrate Easter with its sponsored children’s families and other seven needy families in the community of Jinja, so in total 22 families received a easter packaged that had the following items, namely, 10kgs of rice, 10kgs of beans, bar soap, a chicken, and salt. The children at the local orphanage received a cake that they shared in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This kind act restored hope and faith in people and drew them closer to Christ.

Accountability of the month.

Conclusion:

Reaching out to needy people one at a time has yielded great fruits that Link Hands Uganda is proud of for this long. Our work doesn’t go unnoticed in the community, but it is greatly appreciated by both the community leaders and the people themselves. We thank Mr. Aders for serving and supporting many needy families in Uganda. This great work continues to bring people to Christ and also transform their well-being.
