A REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2022

Introduction

This report will show the activities of October and t will explain in details and the impact of the weekly funds to the people of Uganda.

With the alarming cost of living, food commodities, transport, and medication have gone high but we are able to spend within our limits and live on a budget to be able to reach out to the needy people. Our sole goal is to help children attain better education, but also we consider needy people by providing food, and medication.

Activities of the month

In this month of October we only attended to Medicare of three people; including a girl on sponsorship program.

1. Waihe Charles Muyodi

Mr. Waihe is a 78 years old. He is cancerous and hypertensive. He is married and has 6 children but they don’t help him. His wife contacted our volunteers Milly, and Jean and discussed about his sickness. So the wife’s priority was that her husband gets a wheelchair to enable him to sit outside the house.

Link Hands bought a wheelchair for him and it was delivered by the volunteers. We hope that this wheelchair will be a blessing to Waihe and his family.

2. Sophia Kalinga

She is a mother of 4 children. She is 58 years old and diabetic. Her leg was rotting and the doctors suggested that she undergoes a surgery but her family couldn’t raise the money for the surgery nor pay medical bills. Link Hands was conacted by her son called Kalinga Jaril and we paid part of her surgery and medical bills at Nile International Hospital Jinja. Sophia was so thankful and prayed for blessings to us and the funders.

3. Babirye Leticia

She was the first person to be added on the sponsorship program and even before, way back in 2019 we have been helping her because her parents neglected the family and left children to look after themselves at a very tender age. This time Leticia fell sick while at school writing her final exams. She is ulcerous and had Malaria too. She was rushed to Nakavule Hospital where she was for two days and we paid her medical bills and provided food and drinks while in hospital. She finished writing her final S.4 Exams and now looking forward to volunteer with Link Hands Uganda as she waits to go back to school next year.

Conclusion

With the help of God we are able to move step by step and help one person at a time. We thank and appreciate Anders for his dedication to help needy children in Uganda amidst economic hardships across the world.

We shall continue to serve mostly people we helped in the past for better accountability and evaluation.

Together we can achieve more with virtues of sincerity, Hope, Love, transparency, and faithfulness.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 12:6
